Facebook Says it Miscalculated More Metrics, But it’s Telling Advertisers Not to Worry


Facebook has checked its math again and it needs to make some corrections. In a previous episode of Afrochat Weekly we talked about how Facebook’s video viewing metrics were off but it turns out those are not the only metrics that Facebook has been miscalculating.

Facebook announced today that it has been incorrectly measuring how many people could see publisher’s Facebook page over the course of a week and a month and that these metrics may drop by as much as 55% once the bugs in these calculations have been dealt with.

Google introduced a nifty feature for its search engine last year that lets you know how busy a restaurant, coffee shop or bar typically is at any given time of the week but this week it decided to take that concept one step further by making this tool real-time.

From now on you will be able to know exactly how long the line is going to be before you go to a  place. In this week’s episode we talk about the importance of this feature and how to get your business involved.

Facebook Launches a Unified Inbox for Businesses on Facebook, Messenger and Instagram


Facebook is unveiling a new feature that will make it easier for businesses to stay on top of conversations across Facebook, Facebook Messenger and Instagram without having to open the apps separately. Facebook is going to make it easier to respond to all comments accross the apps using the Facebook Pages Manager app which will now have a unified stream of all commentary as well as individual tabs for focusing on individual channels.
